Five Finger Death Punch Biography and Syracuse Concert History
Five Finger Death Punch is a Las Vegas heavy metal band formed in 2005. Led by vocalist Ivan Moody, the group blends heavy metal, hard rock, and alternative metal with melodic choruses and lyrics exploring personal struggle, mental health, and military themes. Its songs have connected especially strongly with veterans and first responders, while “Wrong Side of Heaven” has helped bring attention to veteran mental health.
The band's catalog spans albums including The Way of the Fist, American Capitalist, F8, and AfterLife. Fan favorites include “The Bleeding,” “Bad Company,” “Wash It All Away,” “Jekyll and Hyde,” and “Wrong Side of Heaven.” On September 20, 2022, Five Finger Death Punch appeared at Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater at Lakeview in Syracuse alongside Megadeth and The Hu. The lineup brought together modern hard rock and metal with Megadeth's thrash legacy and The Hu's distinctive rock sound.
